amanda I'm very flattered that you think I'm brave because I travel in Europe, for me it's all down to planning and preparation. I don't feel brave at all!
I did drive out to Switzerland last April, and I would say it was quite a long drive by myself, so if you are the only driver, you also need to factor in the cost of a overnight stay.

Ryanair at it again...

If flying Ryanair into Girona, for access to the Spanish Pyrenees and Andorra, beware of over enthusiastic hand baggage weighing and measuring. I have read that Ryanair now enforces the 1 piece of hand baggage on board to include items purchased in Airport Shops. If you can't get your bottle/ciggies/perfume in your 1 bag expect a tussle at the boarding gate with the dreaded " bag gauge" being utilised to increase Ryanair revenue.

ski or board technique

I tried snowboarding, had some lessons at Nevis Range and Tamworth, passed the course there too. Just didn't get on with it, and had big confidence problems when I got back on my skis. Snowboarding messed with my head

I can because I asked cem do my boot fitting, and he's amazing :D
