Just make sure your jacket and pants have vents. Unless you like to carry a backback around, you really don't want to shed layers. I find a shell jacket with either a down jacket (cold weather) or a light soft shell jacket (warmer weather) underneath to be the most versatile set up. They all have pit zips (so you can vent through two layers if needed), and if it's very warm the soft shell is used alone.

No more than chocolate chip cookies and beer  |
One of those flat places anyway  |
Do they have that old saying in Northamptonshire as well?

Talking of the chest mount for the go-pro, I noticed at Deer Valley last week that many instructors had a go-pro on the chest. I'm guessing that they now offer video analysis, or maybe just video to clients. Now that's a clever use for the camera.

There are a lot of people who can breeze through moguls with ease, but can't carve a turn to save their lives. |
You would not want to be a late starter. Even icy compacted snow soon breaks down into something resembling deep pits of course sand. Impossible to peddle through.

There are times when the snow has frozen to the sole and only a scraper will do. Doesn't happen often, but when it does, no amount of tapping or trying to scrape on various parts of the binding will do. |
