Maybe she's getting numb feet because she's not bending her ankles and keeping her shins in the ski-ing position. I have recently had new ski boots fitted and my technician said that the boots will make my feet go numb while I'm standing or sitting normally but not while I'm ski-ing or keeping myself in the ski-ing position.

Try them out at a snow dome & see how she gets on; don't over tighten them & go back if she is in pain etc; Would advise a custom made footbed though; off the shelf okay but no where near as good as custom made ( & 60 quid does sound way too much for off the shelf)

If her feet are going numb then there is something wrong...She needs to go back to EB and tell them.

PS My boots are as comfortable as my trainers...In fact they are more comfortable.

Being a 'woman' I have many pairs of shoes and trainers, new and old. Unfortuanately I cannot afford to have trainers and shoes moulded to the shape of my feet as I did with my ski boots.

SB, you can have custom footbeds for your trainers too. CEM looks after sporty summer feet as well as winter ones )

For me, my feet go numb if I have the front buckles done up too tight (especially the 2nd one from the front. I keep that one quite loose but I only wear sports socks for skiing and have never had cold feet (I'm wierd). My wife uses "Little Hotties" foot warmers and they work a treat.
