No. My car is not big enough for 4 in order to make it worthwhile, and the places I want to go are far cheaper on a package. Plus on charter flights its still only £21 return for ski carriage. I dont mind carrying them for the car to the check in, and then from the carousel to the coach at the other end.
I am yet to find a ski holiday where I could drive which would compete on price with the packages I take.

We contemplated driving this year but chose Eurostar instead, we get a discount through the TO and carriage is obviously free.

I don't know where this company did their market research for their new business, but if anyone were to decide to start up any business to do with skiing I know a fairly liberal bunch of people who would give an honest opinion....

Move to central Europe and have done with it. I have only ever paid once to transport my board and funnily enough it was the only package deal I have done and was from the UK. Mind I have only ever flown on 2 ski holidays and one was Chile

Easiest for me is Grindelwald.

Interlaken Express direct from Karlsruhe on the ICE.

Opposite platform and 12 minutes later, train to Grindelwald

Easy, comfortable, fast, free and a bar )

Yes, some of the Swiss transfer times seem long. The trade-off, is that the scenery is so stunning, that the Swiss build the trains with windows in the roof, and passengers are pressed up to the glass like kids. I don't read much on my regular transfer round Lac Leman and up to Grimentz :D
