Having an army of bidders is deceptive in my opinion... simple as that. Folk can buy what they like where they like and I like a good deal as much as anyone.
Don't like being conned into something though!

I agree it is a con
exactly, had that been happening with Ski Bilek it would have not gone unnoticed and they'd have been shut down on ebay sometime ago. Ebay seem to be getting better and better at spotting fraud using their automated systems, a load of stuff is going to get through but it's hard for someone to run a long term large scale scam.
Indeed.

I don't understand the army of bidders thing.. they were selling on ebay too? Most people selling something expensive on ebay will have a friend bidding it up to make sure it goes for the amount they want. It might be a pain in the arse but it makes good business sense

It doesn't make sense if you are looking for a bargain!

Several years ago I bought three completely different things on ebay, and I had an email from some-one telling me to look back on the bidding for all three items. That was when the bidders name was shown. Sure enough the same bidders were bidding on everything I was bidding on. Strange as they were completely different items. I contacted ebay and it was a con, the person had 6 ebay accounts and was putting everything up. All their accounts were cancelled.

Ski-Bilek, was an established ski dealership, with a shop, web store and an ebay shop. AFAIR I heard of no-one having problems with any section of their business.
