I had heard that Ski-Bilek were in trouble. They were on ebay for years with amazing ski deals. Now vanished from the site. A quick google brings up their company home page...

With details of an Insolvency sale, which is good for bargain hunters, but a shame for everyone else buying year on year. I did notice that an ebay trader in Scotland, had lots of skis listed in German language recently, so I wonder if they purchased their stock, and listing pages?

There is another reputable Germany based online trader on the UK ebay. Look for Westside Sport, their own site is...

I have purchased from them, and they are fine. They have some K2 Extreme's with Marker Griffons for a very attractive £269 on ebay right now

No, I'm not going to ) Boots next for me, I'll be off to see cem :D

I saw a thread elsewhere on it, apparently they are done but who knows.

Remember and specify what colour of boots you require to match your skis

As I'm using 3 pairs of skis, and they are all different colours, does this mean I need 3 different pairs of boots?

I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem for cem, but he might suggest I seek psychiatric help with my problem as he's known me for a while :D

Ski Bilek weren't all the made themselves out to be. Similar to some of the other big European traders, they had an army of bidders increasing the bid value of items. I done a case study on them and in some instances one buyer had bought around 135 pairs of skis in a month! (Not to mention all the other items too.)
Lots of breaches of policy, never dealt with properly by eBay and injected personal information gathering pages, Pay Pal surcharges and slow delivery.
There are plenty of UK shops selling great deals with good support and full warranties.
A bargain is always good, but sometimes the bigger picture is better!

A quick search of another well known UK based snowsports forum turns up quite a few satisfied buyers. The last posts reads like someone from the UK ski retail industry dissing European retailers. If there were plenty of ski retailers offering good deals then no-one would ever buy abroad
