If it wasn't for the international shipping fees I would be sitting on the balcony having a beer and wondering when my new board will arrive right now

Prior and Donek are doing some of the pioneering work with camber. Not just rocker for powder, but sections of reverse camber at the ends of boards that gives the effect of variable contact length and engage progressively as the board is inclined. This can make a given radius carve as though it were much smaller, yet still give the stability of a longer conact length. I would expect the ski manufactures to copy these ideas eventually

Trencher, ski companies have been at that for the last couple of years

Think Armada JP v Julien. Praxis offer a few different skis in this style.

Can't think of more right now but there are plenty 8)

actually a lot, lot longer than that, the original patents (for skis) go back to the 1980's. More recently, around 2001 IIRC, the Volant Spatula used the same construction.

Apparently snowboard manufacturers are also doing some pioneering work on snowboard transport devices based around a pioneering idea called a "wheel" and have a pioneering technology called "fire" to keep you warm at night :D

Ise, wasn't the spatula completely reverse camber/sidecut? Maybe a little sidecut under foot but almost definitely reverse camber throughout?

It was supposedly, I could never see by eye the reverse sidecut though, it was pretty subtle.

Regular camber under foot with rockered tip and tail:

Almost completely reverse camber:
