I gave up 5s all together as my only source of income is now skiing and I frequently picked up a knock when playing. Also stopped 11s for the same reason. Also stopped running for the knees.

I havent got a horse...no grazing in S.London.. but I did drop a really heavy baking tray onto my toe and broke it 2 weeks before I went away turned out I was fine though still have a black nail.. it could happen at any time I guess its called fate dont even think about it.. you`ll just make it worse

I still ski with a hinged brace and painkillers ...but everytime I ski ,I talk to the ski gods and say.."Please let me get through this ski day with out the knee giving out" The things we do for the love of skiing. :D

Great news though..today I received a call for my MRI booking,it has taken a year to get!

Jeeno,have fun on your vacation!

oh gosh I would be afraid at anytime to ski indoor ,we dont have those here! What are they like to ski on?

Jumping on your horse bareback - good job the British sense of humour in me refrains me from slipping in a questioning titter as to which of you were bareback

Great news about your MRI anyway hope everything goes well for you and oh yes, lots of fun will be had on our jolly holidays!

As for skiing indoors is pretty good but small, small, small, no sooner have you left the top of thr slope than you're catching a lift back up! But must make do with whatever we have!

Will get skiing over your side of the Atlantic at some point hopefully - have a friend who's in Lake Louise as we speak (rather type!), his third time there, so he keeps leaning on me to venture out that way. It will happen. Just don't know when! :-)
I decided to have a life change and be more spontaneous. Starting tomorrow.

I hate MRI scans but they aren't really so bad...

Sounds like you need to run with the only solution that fits here and that is to go private for it.

NHS: Wait for consultant appointment-6 months

Ross Hall: Wait for consultant appointment and MRI scan- 6 days

Your right Pablo,I almost went private..but it is super expensive here.
There is such a waiting list here in Canada for hips and knees. Getting that phone call today for the appointment shocked me..but in a good way! :-o

Now I will probably have to wait another year for the specialist to fix it! This has been going on for 2 years!

Glad to hear the MRI isnt too bad, good to know..never had one before :D

You just have to be comfortable with sitting still.. you are allowed to go to sleep or take a CD and they will play that for you.

I had to lie for about 40 minutes motionless which killed me

There is a button to be pressed if you get panicy but there is nothing to worry about as you won't be all the way in the tube just for a knee scan!

I think the 20 minutes with the Consultant here cost about $200 canadian and the scan about $1100 canadian but it was worth not having to wait.

So happy to hear I wont be all the way into the mri tube! thankyou! I was wondering about that!
