I think the only way to make this side tracking of the post come full circle now is for something terrible to happen to my knee ha ha  which requires an MRI!
But LM I certainly would love to get some skiing in over there. Only relatives I have in Canada are in Ottawa but whereabouts would you recommend ... ?

Now I live for the moment :D (although I do still wrap my boys up in cotton wool).
I can understand that - I picked up a transfer from Innsbruck many years ago, one of the passengers stepped out of the airport and slipped on ice, breaking her leg.
I think I've become more paranoid since reading this thread

Jenno, dont even joke about hurting you knee.Im sending you good positive vibe's from Canada..you wont hurt yourself )
As far as Canada goes..Well of course "the west is the best" :D British columbia and Alberta. Banff, is beautiful.
I live in the interior of BC,45 minutes from sunpeaks ski resort..which is one of my favorite places on earth!
Ski into the town..right to your hotel or condo, friendly people, great food and best of all the skiing is fab!
During the week,no liftlines. Its really nice.

From listening to the accents in the liftlines..I would say the uk loves this mountain :)
Nellyps-that poor lady! what terrible luck!

And thanks for the link, it looks a fantastic place and somewhere a little bit further away from the mass tourist trade, or certainly away from the typical tourist ski areas of Canada offered through normal agents over here. Will have a word with my mate (got back today so am waiting for his ongoing report of Lake Louise!) and tell him it comes highly recommended! :-)
As for plenty of Brits in the liftlines not so sure if that's a good thing or not ha ha
And do you have a facebook account by any chance as if so will PM you my full moniker and you can decide if you want to add me :-) or not :(
What normally happens is I have so many flaming log ons and passwords for things that I'll forget who I am on here, disappear and then reappear under a totally different name :!: I wish I could make out that it's because I'm risque and make close to the knuckle comments. Alas it's only because am a half arsed dimwit who can't keep track of things  :D

Did you see the Rick Mercer Report last week where Rick was guided around Sun Peaks by Nancy? She should have taken him down Cover Shot! Rick would have tried it - one way or the other.

Mike I did see that show,it was good! He is so funny! I would have loved to have met him. They should have spent more time there ,than Nancy could have really taken Rick down some runs..like maybe the terrain park jumps!  Your right he probably would have done it too ha ha ha
