Yeh I was checking it out, the plastic heel bits (can't remember what they are called) look quite flimsy , not exactly confidence inspiring to look at.

blimey :!: I've only just seen that, doesn't look good at all, in fact the ones on my snow shoes look more robust.

What I also saw was a max DIN of 10, that's incredible. So, Dynafit ST is 1000g with brake DIN 10, the FT about 1000g with DIN 12. It's not clear if the Onyx weight is with brake or not but either way, on paper, it doesn't look as good as the FT. My TLT speeds are DIN 10 and 670g

There is a pretty interesting thread about it on TGR if you can sift through the BS.. got info about breaks and crampons etc (don't think they have sorted it out yet). In fairness I don't think I would use a din of more than 10 pretty much ever but the again I am like a racing snake.

The fact there is more to the binding is a little more confidence inspiring!

I think everything there is pretty self explanatory apart from spyderjon on sH's (who is a dude on another forum, BD Ascentions which are the orange things and G3 Alpinist which are the red and white things, they stick to the bottom of your skis so you can ski up hill without sliding backwards. The funny looking bindings are used with a different type of boot but serve pretty much the same purpose!
