If you have any airmiles, carhire is free.

Where on earth did you get the from, dave? Having airmiles does not give you free car hire.

Back to the subject matter, I go with Daves suggestion of easyjet to Munich. Head to Innsbruck, up the Ziller valley and in to mayrhofen.

www.mayrhofen.at for accommodation.

I have used them for three consecutive years, including last winter. Paid only in airmiles, not a bean in cash.

On the Airmiles website, airmile costs are given for each car as cash only, cash & airmiles, airmiles only.

Airmiles cost for a VW Fox was about 2500 airmiles, think it is about 3000 now.

Three free cars, no money.

Sorry, I misunderstood you. You gave the impression that if you had some airmiles on your account, you automatically got a car for free! I too traded in airmiles for ar hire at Munich, although this does limit you to using Avis whose rates are generally higher than most other suppliers.

Their cars do come with winter tyres though at Munich )
