Me and a friend reckon flights to/from Innsbruck, transport (even taxi at a push between 4 people) up the valley, and a sizeable apartment shared between likeminded folk. Only problem is, Feb/March is the consensus as being the majority vote for best time (for us at least) thus being pretty peak season.

Any input appreciated on this.

Don't know is this counts but I'm going to be on hoilday from 28.10.08 - 6.11.08 and I got two plane tickets for 663$ each from Cleveland to Munich, a rental car for $108 (special discounts, cuz I'm special 8) ) and a week's stay at the Landhaus Reiter for $408 (USD )
The whole thing for $1,944 USD NOT BAD if I do say so myself. Ask the folks on here, becuase THEY ROCK and go shopping around.

For special fun on my hoilday I'm going to go back to H-tux (again) and go top to bottom (weather permitting of course) Perhaps I can rent a St. Bernard doggy. Or a really hot male instructor. Then I want to spend at least one day embalmed by the finest schnapps Tirol has to offer

What kind of weather does Mayrhofen offer in the late fall? Ohohohh When is the parade with the cows for herbst harvest?
Uh oh, I think I broke'd the lift

Nae chance.

You can't ski to your door. You can't even ski to the village.(Well maybe, very occasionally)

I think you are a troublemaker Caron, and you are out to cause bother between me and Tony-H, and his friends.

Don't rise to it guys, I do understand that you have your reasons for being Mayrhofeners.

Just about every resort in the world has it's followers, for whom there is no known anti-dote.

But there ain't nowhere like Niederau. I just arrived back from there today, after a wonderful week alpine walking. Sehr shoen.

Anyone gonna be in said location anytime between 31st Jan & 7th March, cos that bracket is our provisional booking date (subject to funds, holiday entitlement, travel and pref trying to avoid the uk kids holidays...)

Be nice to put some faces to names...
