Why do you have to be an expert to use Spyder gear..... ? Couldn't disagree more.
You ski in what you can afford and feel good in. I personally don't like it at all, my choice is Haglofs however I don't think people Look daft in it if they can't ski.
Who cares what people think. If you can afford it then cool buy it and enjoy it. You will get there in the end and if you don't well hey at least you look good.... 8)

Well said. Like you, I dislike Spyder gear, intensely. But if this guy has bought it and feels good in it, fair play to him. Its important to feel good and thats achieved by looking good. (This is probably where Dave Mac comes in and tell us hes been wearing the same pair of holed sallos for 35 years, and has food stains all over his smock of a jacket....)
For me, I associate Spyder gear with pot bellied Germans, and I think for the price it doesn't look that good. But each to his own as I said. Main thing is matey feels good.
Haglofs stuff is fantastic, by the way.
