went to Bulgaria once never again. The whole Zillertal area is Brilliant returning for a third time in march agree with all above comments
Apre Ski great, everyone friendly.
In all the bars you dont get ripped off prices still the same as 3 years ago for Eurofizz.

We will be there on the 14 th. staying in Ramsau village approx 15 kilo s from mayrhofen. 1 irish and 5 lithuanians. Stayed in Fugen approx 10 years and did a day / night trip to mayrhofen. And went back to Fugen 2 years ago, which is a lot quiter. The place is hopping and Austria have prob one of the best après ski in Europe. What the previous posters said, you will not be dissapointed. But be prepared for a loooooong wait for the massive cable car out of Mayrhofen. Might be better looking for an alternative route up. ( not sure where at the mo). Easy access by bus to a load of other cracking ski areas as well and taxis quite cheap. But enjoy and try to learn the song Antonio Aus Tirol, which you will hear about 20 times a night in any pub or club.

better to get the bus to the horberg lift .

Ski Sean, If you decide to use the penken you can leave your Skis and Boots at The Crystal office next to the Bottom station for a small sum and go on the lash and then pick them up next day

I was there the week before that week last year, which was exceptionally bad across much of Europe, and the skiing was ok. Put it like this, there were white bits to ski on.

Mayrhofen is usually fine early March, and this year is a particularly good one for snow, so you'll be ok I would have thought.
