I've only ever struggled for snow in Austria once, December 2008 Niederau just after Xmas. I think it was because the resort is so low down, hence why I never book to go to low lying ski areas.
Although this season its totally different, and I am told Soll is seeing spectacular snow.
Look out later this week, rain forecast across Austrian up to 2000m
Where have you seen that Tony? Most of the Austrian forecasts I'm looking at are showing precipitation from Thursday with snow starting at around 1500-1600m but coming down the mountain rapidly - to low levels overnight and then through Friday (and Saturday in places).
Subject to change, of course, but Thursday night onwards looks like decent snow across much of the Alps (North and West looking best for quantities right now).
2 sleeps! 8)
