Whilst Banff is a great destination. Sunshine village is not so great for intermediate and advanced boarders. There are too many flat sections in the regular terrain.

Whoever suggested doing a combination of Fernie and Kicking Horse and possibly Revelstoke was on the right track in my view. Possibly with a few days in Banff at either end.

Whistler Blackcombe is obviously a good choice also but is generally more expensive. I would aim for Feb for W/B rather than March as the west coast is generally warmer and wetter than the interior.

In that case Randy I would seriously consider big white! all the accomm is ski in ski out.. and there are lots of great rolling blues and greens perfect for the beginner/intermediate boarder! Whistler also a great choice.. If you are interested in whis Im going on hoiday from 11th-18th you can rent my place if you like.. great big 3 bed house 10mins walk from the vill will help pay for my little holiday to mexico! lol

Big white is a good choice if you just want to stay in one place. Some good (and steep) cruisy blues and some amazing glades. Keep in mind that it is a very family oriented resort, so whilst there will be loads of ski-in and out accomodation, it is not the place if you are looking for amazing nightlife. Whistler is the obvious choice if you can afford it.

Have a look at UK company called Frontier Ski... Just booked Whistler (Creekside) at the First Tracks Lodge and they have secured it for this years price. This is a skiin skiout location with the nearest lift being about 100m away
Very helpful company

If you are interested in the cost/value skiing ratio, then go to BC interior to such centers as BIG WHITE, Panorama etc and not to Whistler.

Take a ski learn learning classes.

Then when you are a competent boarder go to Mega-centers like Whistler.
