Things that remind me of skiing

I tell you what I had an airport pint once at 4.00am ..... it tasted wonderful
I'd never have beer with breakfast - beer is breakfast that day!
I rarely drink generally, this is just my thing to start my holiday. I recently flew to Arizona with a midday flight and it never occurred to me to have a drink as that was work travel.
Life's rich tapestry....
The Geneva flight from Newcastle has gone at 2:20pm for the last 10 years or so (sadly its Chambery at daft o'clock this year) do I'm not quite the lout you think!!!!! ;-)

The smell of diesel fumes on a cold day makes me think of the transfer buses at the airport.

I really don't know how people can do that. Early drinking that is.
It makes me feel a little queasy to see people knocking back pints of beer at 8am with breakfast at the airport. I just don't get that at all.
Sometimes i get a smell of disinfectant or some other cleaning product that has that distinct scent that most holiday apartments seem to use...that gets me every time.

Most ski flights are 6 or 7 am especially from Gatwick, so that first beer is more often than not something like 5am. I'm not a big fan that time of day I have to admit.
But its not a skiing thing, its just a holiday thing.
For me, I spend almost every day at an airport, and it always makes me think about getting on a flight.
The smell of Piz Buin makes me think of skiing, the face cream especially.
I'm also reminded every single day as my skis stand next to my desk.
Plus, I guess like most others on here, my screensaver is a skiing photo.

Yankee doodle spicy candles! Opened the top of a box containing one this am and was instantly transported to a mountain restaurant drinking mulled wine.
