Where to in Austria in early January?
Hi,
There already is about 1m of snow in Saalbach :!:
If you arrive early enough we can meet on the slopes )
If you are too tired there is always Pfeffer Alm half way up the mountain.
I've heard they offer tobogans to drop back to the resort afterwards?
Have you been to Saalbach or Pfeffer Alm before?
Hi Skyros,
Thanks for your tips.
We are now sorted:)
We are off to Saalbach!

Thanks for your help, Biki! :D I've just had a look at that site but unfortunately there isn't any review about Sissi Park, only one about Monarchia and the other recommended hotels nearby are not directly on the pistes. I continue looking for an appropriate one, thank you for your help and have a nice trip!

I would ski a lower resort in Janusry. High resorts may be too cold.
I would not go to Soll as you have to ski red runs to get to the blue runs and the home runs into the village really suck.
Westendorf has the best skiing and snow conditions in the Ski Welt.
Plus it has a great village.
Kirchberg has good blue runs into the village and good skiers can access Westendorf via Key West or ski over to Pass Thurn.
Good luck
