Scots have taken chunks of England on many occasions. Notably, in 1745, Londoners were Shitin their breeks when the Stewart army reached a one day march from London. (Having taken Derby and Manchester) Only the Earl of Mar, who persuaded CES to cease, lay between TonyH being as he is now, or speaking with a broad Glasgie accent!
