val d'isere is booked for the christmas week for the 4 of us. Seriously looking forward to that. We've gone self catering this time. We will want to go on a 2nd week somewhere but we're stuck with either Feb half term or Easter as our youngest daughter is on her final GCSE year. Fancy trying Austria, maybe Lech or Ischgl. Could end up in the 3V though. We really enjoyed Norway but last time round found Hemsedal a little on the small side. We do like to 'travel' during a day's skiing. Enjoy Trysil!
slippy slidey snow......me likey!

No Dave - holiday finishes on Saturday 6th Feb.
Last full day is the Friday, couple of people may get some skiing on the Saturday but Alpe D'Huez will be celebrating a return to normality and peace on the Sunday......

A recap for new readers.......
This is a group ski/boarding trip to Alpe D'Huez on January 30th 2016 for a week,
Staying in the Hotel Christina, half board - which is right on the piste towards the top of the resort.

24 booked so far - with a real mix of ages and experience.
No first timers this year yet - but in past years newcomers have been well looked after.

A mid-priced holiday, cost summary on the first page ( https://www.j2ski.com/ski-chat-forum/posts/list/15996.page ) - basically; hotel and airport transfer then arrange own travel. People are flying from all over the place, coming by train and self-driving.

Rooms - I know we have a twin available and a single, female share.
Possibly a triple and a family room (twins and bunks).

If you want more info send me a PM.

I will arrive on the Saturday, and do my best to continue the J2ski appreciation of ADH.

Haven't decided whether to train or fly yet - if I train perhaps we could meet for a drink before I leave ?

I would be really happy if that would work, Andy. My best guess is that we will arrive around 5,30pm/6.00pm at the Hotel Pic Blanc. Yes, I know this is an expensive place, but it is not my choice, I am merely doing what I am told.
There is a balance in life. Alp D'Huez will cost three times more than my January visit to Niederau, but less than half of my March visit to Colorado.

Old Andy, you are only young once....

Joking apart, does the timing fit?
