After a few years skiing on hired skis I have decided to purchase my own for this next season, as for the first time I am in a position to go several times rather than the usual once.
I guess I fall into the early intermediate catagory as I can ski blues and have started to venture onto reds.
I need some advice on which skis to buy, I am thinking about either the K2 Sweet Luv or the K2 True Luv. Can anyone offer any advice? I tried some K2 Burnin Luv's this season which I loved but found them a little bit too advanced for my level (a bit unforgiving unless I was flat out).
Do you think that the Sweet Luv's will be to basic or that I will may have the same problem with the True Luvs as I had with the Burnin Luv's? I have read several reviews but still can't decide as they seem very close.
Also what size should I buy. The two I like either come in 142cm or 149cm. (I usually ski with 146cm). I am 5'3" 56kg
Thanks

my gf has demoed the sweet luv and although she thought it was good fun, light and easy to turn she thought it was a little soft and wouldnt be advanced enough. I think from what you are say the true luv would be the better of the two.
sorry dont have much more advice on womens skis!
go with the longer ones-more speed!

I bought some true luvs this season and absolutely LOVED them. I had struggled to find something that suited me, but these just fitted the bill perfectly on and off piste. Would definitely recommend them :D

Will someone please explain the rationale behind buying short skis?? By 5 4, do you mean five feet four inches tall, or one five four centimetres tall :?:

I'm five feet four tall,(164cm) and I don't ski particularly quickly, but I use skis at 158cm, 163cm and 172cm long. Are you very lightweight?

i can see the point of the 158cm (perfect) and 163cm (just right but are the 172cm not VERY long?
(unless youre a fantastic skier of course?!!)

No, I'm not a particularly good skier, except in my head :D The 172's are TT's, so ski short....plus they are Scott's which have a reputation for skiing short anyway. Bear in mind that when skinnies were the only skis around, I used 190's.
