Yes, I'm very sorry about that Andy

I was just trying to give everyone a chance to contribute something sensible before the thread was totally trashed with wibble

And I haven't got Admin's axe - I'm quite sure my computer skills aren't up to using it even if he'd been kind enough to lend it to me. But it's no wonder there's so much wibble around on this website now if Admin's lost his axe

Lizzie-B wrote:Right finally plucked up the courage to reply-Even before logging on I have followed the posts- Since joining I agree with you Ally have gained so much advice. I am with Old Andy in that I can't get enough of like minded people with a passion for skiing - it is like a drug and I get my fix by coming on here many times in a week. There is a hardcore lot of you on here and although I am right out on the fringe as a relatively newbie I am so grateful to you all for always being the heart of J2ski - keep your banter going, you make me laugh so much at times, much better than dipping into a favourite book and sometimes even beats a curry on a Friday night (well, when holiday getting really near). The only trouble is hours can be lost very quickly. But then again it's about skiing so who cares!!It is great to have a place to keep talking and checking about it.Have adored Pavels and Trenchers advice and Cem made my skiing feet bliss this year. Love the J2 ski forum – long may it continue.

There is only one thing I don't agree with, and that is Mr Wickams quote and as you may know I cannot do the quote thing in blue ... so here goes..
.
But above all it is a fantastic place to communicate with like minded people with a passion for the mountains and a great font

Just a constant reminder that nobody has come to my aid. I still have to type in the same small black and white font – What does one have to do to join the inner sanctum around here !!!

I can't believe you disagree with me as I'm always right

Where does the bottom spanking smiley come from? I've seen it on other forums, but not this one - I think it might come in handy.

Anyway, something I've learnt is my inability to recall information, everyone else seems to remember the names and numbers of runs in resorts, bar and restaurant names etc, I struggle to remember the name of the hotel I'm staying in.

Perhaps I'm not observant enough.

A challenge for my holiday; come home with names and numbers of at least 10 runs and 4 restaurants.

Where am I going again?

Nelly, I don't know what everyone else does, but when I wrote my report (a couple of years ago) I used the piste map and the till receipts etc. that I'd specially kept for the purpose.

I can't remember anything either, for more than about 5 minutes

So I have learnt to be organized and keep records in order to cope with this deficiency.

I am looking forward to your report now, and I hope you have a great time - where are you going again :?:

I think the trouble is my job, I'm a PA for a bunch of accountants who rely on my organisation skills and ability to retain useless information daily so when I go away I completely switch off, but I will try and take note this time and I will write a full report (no pressure).

Back on the thread.....

This website gives me a few minutes respite during my busy day to engage in some day dreaming about skiing rather than being stuck behind my desk.

It also gives me new ideas about places to go to ski.

As a relatively new skier, I am very grateful for all the wisdom being freely given by experienced J2Skiers and some old ski lags (you know who you are).

Thanks all
I can see my house from here...
