The thing is, Tony, I've never organized a group holiday before, but I have been letting holiday cottages for about 15 years through an agency, and I know very well that it can be difficult to persuade people to pay the balance of their holiday by the required date, which was 12 weeks ahead in this case.

So I am very pleased that everyone in the group paid their balance to Bonjour ahead of time! I didn't have to nag anyone 8) :D :thumbup:

Looking at the Tignes webcams this morning, it seems as if they've had quite a bit of snow.

Tignes Le Lac at 9 a.m. (French time) this morning (taken from the webcam). I think the building beside the lake, with the wigwam next to it, is 'Le Lagon' swimming pool and fitness centre. Entrance to the 25m swimming pool and outside ice rink is free with a lift pass of 6 days or more.

My word, that actually manages to make Tignes look almost attractive, and not the Stalag Space Station it really is :wink:

Fortunately, we are staying down in the village and not up at Stalag Luft Lac. :D

I think the low angle of the photo makes Das Huts look far less foreboding than they do from the top of the mountain as you drop over from Val d'Isere.....
