Well, I have sons, but no daughters, so off to the Palace we went, ski-wifie and I. Now, those of you who know me from J2, know that I don't do the important bits by half. Yes, I did wear a long coat, grey tie, and top hat. I had a premonition that it would be the one and only time, so best to do it right the first time.
Just as well. Hell, that wifie of mine, what a let-down she was. Oh yes, she was dressed to the nines, "You look lovely, dear".
What was the let down? Aye well, t'was the food. You see the royals don't eat muffins, barmcakes or rolls. Not French sticks, not semmels.
On offer was one inch square sandwiches. Judging by the amount on the table, I think that you were meant to take a couple of squares.
Twenty four!
