Thanks for all the tips, we ended up packing just some cold meats for sandwiches, chocolate bars, cheese and a few bits for packed lunches.
I know all are available in resort but at twice the price.

Oh and a bit of pasta.

will nip to the spar when we get there...

@dave mac.....thanks for the recipe, you need to go on come dine with me :-)

You are prob right but it's here in the fridge and i have a place in my case.

Double the price....jeez last time I looked they were about 55p. it's to be hoped they were the best packet of walkers you have ever eaten. :lol:

Personally I'd just take the things you would miss. Bacon, tea, etc. everything else you can buy at the supermarket or in resort, for the amount you would save for the hassle of having to pack it all and cart it over isn't worth it for me. Plus as tony said, I'd still eat out a few nights, it' gets you out and about and for me this is as much part of the holiday as the skiing.....

On our recent self catered week in Val d'Isere we took the following:

Half size packet of readybrek + squeezy golden syrup
Teabags
Marmite
35cl bottle of 12yo Glenlivet

What more do you need :D
