hi everyone!
i have finally saved some money to buy new ski boots. however, they will be brought to me from USA (i live in Argentina) so i have to buy them on the internet without trying them! i have to change my ski boots because mine turned out to be huge. The thing is i have filtered my posibilities (considering price, availability in size and boot specs) to three boots. These are tecnica vento 6, tecnica agent 80 and Lange Fluid 90.
I am an advanced intermidiate all-mountain skier (mainly piste though) weighting around 80 kilos (~200 pounds) and 1,85m tall (6`1``) . I have checked out my feet size and seem to be around a C/D width.
the vento 6 state 70 flex index, are they too soft for me? will i be too unconfortable in Lange? Any opinions on the agent 80?
thanks in advance for your response!

Agusl,
You cannot sensibly buy boots over the internet. You would have to be extremely lucky to have them anywhere near a correct fit. Then they would need setting up for you.
I presume that you are using boots just now, maybe renting? If so, maybe keep on doing that, until you find yourself in a position to spend several hours trying new boots.
What is the reason that you cannot buy in Argentina? Or wherever it is that you ski?

i have my own boots: salomon x wave 6 but they are way too big and i lose confidence when skiing in demanding conditions (steeps, moguls, trees, etc). Here in Argentina, boots are VERY expensive especially before season starts (june). What i want to do is buy the boots and see if i keep them or sell them (depends on wether the new are better than the old ones or not)... i know it will be far from a good fit but is the best option i got. with the money i get from selling my old boots i can pay for the new ones so there's no waste of money either..
thanks for your help!

You said befor that you had 2 1/2 to 3 fingers of space when doing the shell test on your 28.0 shell Salomons. What's the true length of your feet ?
Place your bare feet in a box, heels against one side. Draw around your toes and measure the length of both feet.
Most people can go down one shell size from thier actual foot length. However, if you were at 27.9cm, you may still need a 27 shell. Width is another matter, as each manufacturer tends to be different.
Lange are known for a narrow last.

26.0/26.5, in most boots the liner is a little thinner for the .5 sizes. So yes, 26.5 or for a little tighter fit 26.0 would be your best guess. I say guess, because as pointed out by Dave above, it's not the best way to do this.
The boots I would certainly try at the moment for the price

and for the this price you could not go wrong

My feet are 27.5cm and I use 26.5 Fischers. Took about a dozen uses for them to pack in.
Let us know how it works out

yes i know it's not the best way but it will be better than staying with my current big boots.
why do you recommend the mx7's and not the mx9's? are the 9's too stiff? is tecnica not as good as fischer? all the three boots i mentioned (vento 6, agent 80 and lange fluid 90) cost 170uss aprox. aren't they good?
thank you very much for your help!
