This is with Style holidays, they have reduced all their villa's for all the Greek Islands this week.

I have some great memories of the Greek Islands and have spent many wonderful holidays there,but I really must say that I tired of the food.... :cry:

I really liked the food but then its not so different to what I normally eat. Only had one thing I did,nt like..........cold lumpy mashed potato with about 6 cloves of garlic, raw. Good job it was only my starter.

My wife loves the greek food but then again she is a big carnivore, I tend to find greek food a bit on the boring side apart from Santorini where I found the restaurants varied with some excellent dishes that I have never found on other Greek Islands, I remember a dish of deep fried tomatoes and a wonderful stuffed squid. 8) :lol: 8) :lol:

Interesting comments Ian. Of all the places I have been to on holidays, Greece probably has the widest and most varied choice of food. I found such a good lamb kleftiko in 1 restaurant in Santorini, I could have eaten it every night.
I never once got bored of eating Greek food, something different every night, meat or fish.

Get yourself off to Southern Italy.......then you have it all, cooking on gas...MMMMMMmmmm time for lunch :D

Apart from a greek salad which I had most lunchtimesI could have had something different every night for a month. It was lovely, like Tony I had my favourite, beef stifado which I could have eaten every night.
Ian dont go to Finland, its reindeer soup, reindeer pasta, reindeer pie, reindeer pizza infact reindeer every-thing :lol:

I'm gonna google how many Michelin starred restaurants there are in Greece ??????
