Why do people need an official day in order to get them to think about their partners? I tell Mrs H I love her every single day EXCEPT valentines day as I dont like being told what to do.

Thats exactly the way I feel about valentines day, totally commercial but tell that to a woman if you dare.I always believed it was for secret admirer's to send a message,then you get cards saying to my wife on valentines day.Can imagine the wife opening it & saying ooh I wonder who this is from.

Flowers also go up in price,reason given we have to import them, don't they import flowers most of the year anyway?

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. I love my flowers on Valentines Day..........it's pretty much the only time I get them, so I don't complain about him being "told" to do it. :wink:
