Hi Goppy, not Friday night, Mel left on Friday morning. He is my long term ski buddy, is quite ill, but always perks up in Niederau.

Was your meet up in the Harfenwirt or the Bichlwirt? I usually go to both most nights. There was at least one other J2skier, staying at the Harfenwirt, her and her friends were doing their best to lead me astray, and I did half carry her up the Kropfraderjoch T-Bar.

Was this your first time in Niederau?

not sure of its name! was told its the oldest pub in niederau.it wasn't the harfenwirt. The mel i was talking to was 69 and had heart attack last year on his ski holiday. Was my first time in niederau which i thought was a lovely place.Stayed in the sonnshcein, another of herberts places i believe  first 4 days i spent skiing in niederau and auffach.Last 2 days i went to the skiwelt. It was a really enjoyable week.

Just checked the SkiLine for last weeks skiing.

Total skiing for the 9 days, 545km
21/70/49/83/93/57/70/73/26 km

First and last day were travel days, so short days.

Average of remaining days, 71 km per day.

Like Tino, I am sure these distances are under the actual. One reason is that they could not possibly take account that some of the runs involved poling over to the Tennladen run, nor the particular lines on any run. I calculate that the 83 and 93km days are under counted by at least 8/9km.

I also lost about 4 runs in assisting with accidents.

Dave, did you get yourself up the lanerkopflbahn lift and down black 15 &16? it was closed until i think it must have been last Wednesday or Thursday maybe cos of the lack of snow...and no snow cannons on those runs....our instructor said they're having cannons put up there for next season though. i got down there on my last day skiing.

Are you still there now?
