Back to the speeding question, though i do have my own experiences of the Swiss way of dealing with the public....

I have read through a google search that if you were more than 30kph over the limit they can fine you 20% of your net income.

If it was a matter of paying £100 I would pay up and take it on the chin but 20% of net income?

Doesn't the letter tell you how much the fine is? What a strange letter.

Can I suggest you dont try crossing any land borders in Africa? )

In Senegal I was told I wasn't smartly enough dressed [after spending 6 hours in the back of an open truck to get to the border] and in Guinea-Bissau it appeared to be an offence not to speak Portuguese!

Typically the speeding fine letter will contain 2 elements. 1st a charge notice from your hire company to you, for them taking the time to tell the Swiss police how to find you  . Secondly there is usually what looks like a bank slip, in orange or red, and this will have the price of your fine on it.

Have you done Saas Fee? I would go Saas Fee if you haven't.

Wickers, they probably thought you were smuggling meat into Switzerland. It´s big business as meat is pricey, hence there are lots of supermarkets...just over each border crossing )

Good advice.

Saas Fee it is, faster to get to, somewhere new, couple of runs in the mornings, bit of photography in the afternoon and cow fighting on Sunday!!
