I was out with the wifes side of the family. Brother in law decided to take everyone out, including some close friends, for a meal to thank us all for our support during his recent bad times. We went into town early doors for a couple of cheekies, had a fantastic chinese meal, and ended up back in the village where there was a live singer on in one of the pubs. It was packed and a little bit messy after many drinks. Got home at 1.30am, up at 9 this morning and a couple of hours in Boston wandering round shops in the sunshine - 22c today over here, and returned home to watch the afternoons football. Man City really are rubbish and deluded if they think they are going to win anything with Hughes in charge. Ugly football at its worst.
Arsenal in self destruct mode is quite amusing to watch. Speaking of amusing, Ronaldo's reaction to being subbed actually made me angry rather than laugh. That pathetic creature needs knocking down a peg or two. I hope Fergie gives him a blast of the hairdryer. Spoilt child springs to mind.
Anyway, just had the obligatory sunday roast, and I am on the web surfing around for employment law advice (things are going to get hairy this week) and popped on here whilst Mrs H catches up with the garnage she recorded on sky plus.
I am starting to feel very tired now, so it may be an early night.

Is there any situation in which Lawyers do not make an absolute killing, maybe you should retrain

Just about to go to Fives and pick up my weekly injury.

Last night I was:
Helping the 'sky man' sort out the problem with 3 of the tellys in the various houses,
Cutting down a big tree branch to improve the sky reception and then cutting up the branches with my husband and carrying them away (still using only one arm) and sweeping up
Cleaning and sorting out stuff
Telling the builder what to do the next day
Watching casualty on telly
Cooking and washing up
Sleeping

Today I have been:
Cleaning off stable doors ready for staining
Out for lunch
Staining stable doors and oiling oak antique table for a patio table for the holidaymakers.
Was supposed to do the 'Race for life' in aid of Cancer Research, but decided I had too many things to do and I'd give them a donation instead.

we went rock climbing having been doing other bits and pieces all day, and it was a great time to go, it was a small local crag and the local uni' were just departing leaving us and another team and finally just us topping out a route as the sun set over the lake. So nice we'll pop round again one night :D

Well my weekly injury is studs to the side of my knee, luckily my foot wasn't planted otherwise it would have been seriously unpleasant!

Pablo,
I got injured like that once, in a rugby match, and the vein swelled up at the side of my knee, and years later I had a lot of trouble with it when I was pregnant (lucky you're male - - and unlikely to have that particular problem). And I ended up with superficial thrombophlebitis after the baby was born, followed by cellulitis (unable to walk for 3 months) and eventually had the vein out.

So, be careful. It's surprising how relatively minor injuries can cause trouble years later. Maybe you should stick to something nice and safe, like ski-ing
