That is certainly something I intend to do.......as long as I'm not buying a pair that still cripple me. No-one I've mentioned this to has really understood the problem and I don't know if it's something people just put up with or if I've got a particular problem due to distance running and cycling.

Any advice on suitable models or just shops that know their stuff in boot fitting would be gratefully received.

Just floating an idea here; womens boots have lower rears to clear their calfs which are generally lower than mens.

I'm sure they don't all come with fluffy linings!

Trencher also mentioned that - I'll have to grow my hair and go and try some on!

I get this all the time. In fact it's holding me back on improving my skiing.

i'm 31 and have a fantastic level of cardio fitness, just can't get past the burn! I am not a light person though - perhaps that's it.
