Last time I looked, Verbier was in Switzerland, not France. The OP wants France.

So now you have read the whole thread Tony, can you provide the OP with some suggestions specific to their needs?

Vicky, as I think you will find she is called, did mention France. The thread then drifted towards other places for the specific time (which is probably more important to the "OP" than where to go to be quite honest) and I mentioned my good experience in Verbier. I did not say Verbier was in France, just like those who mentioned the Alberg didnt suggest for one minute that the region had been moved south east, or the references to Yllas/Levi or Scotland which seemed to avoid your radar.....
If Vicky is looking for suggestions, my suggestion from experience in March would be to consider Verbier, even though its in Switzerland. Nothing wrong with making alternative suggestions.
Next time I want to discuss the moving of national borders, I will remember to let you know first though )

Now, now guys ... do behave! This is supposed to be fun remember!! Seriously though, is it only me that has been put off skiing in France due to repeated lift strikes? Have discovered Austria now though - oh how wonderful! Great skiing! Can't beat the scenery or the hot chocolate (I'm a girly skier and thats very important to me too!!)

Well I am off to Serre Che in March, so I will be hoping to get a much better experience of France than I have ever previously had, which has not been good generally. I dont know about lift strikes though.

Hi Vicky

I have skied in Courchevel and the three valleys for the past 12 years and March is the best month here!!

Long sunny days the best groomed slopes!!

Because the slopes are North facing in the main they do not suffer from the ravages of the sun for the most part of the winter and the snow is kept in pristeen condition.

It is also high with most of the skiing above 2000m and access to Val Thorens, Europe's highest village/ski resort.

The last say of the season this year was 26th April and there was over 2m of snow here!!!

3 years ago the last day of the season was the 1st of May and we do not have any Glaciers to ski on here so its all seasonal snowfall.
