It sounds as though Grindelwald is ahead of the game on this. Wherever Ian is (Livigno I rather think) still has instructors without helmets, and so do the ESF where I was (Courchevel).

When Stewart proudly showed us his new helmet (oo er) at Gatwick, I went: "Ring ding ding ding ding......" which kind of stuck for the week, and that picture on our final day at La Grotte was just perfect.
Although Stewart did think he looked more like a Nazi storm trooper to be fair.

Oh and by the way, I reckon around 30% of skiers in Serre Che were wearing helmets, if thats relevant....
