If you stayed above mid station then you won't have spotted any, and might skied down next to the Balacha drags to get the liason back, which isn't covered.

I really did not see any mobile or fixed cannons and I skied a lot of runs over there, they are not something even I with my eye sight would miss .... anyone know the number for "Spec-savers"

Hi Ian,
Glad to hear you had a good time in Morillon. I'd like to pick your brain. We are going the Morillon ourselves in the half term break with another family who are only in their second year of skiing and consider themselves to be on the greens and easy blues.
Which pistes that you skied are easy blues on the Grand Massif.

I'm hoping the dry weather breaks next week and the snow starts arriving to give a fresh covering. These types of cyclonic weather patterns seem to last two to three weeks. So here's hoping.
Thanks for any replies you may post.
I was told "if you lean, you fall". I've tried and I did.

There are plenty of blue runs to keep the novice satisfied in Morillon of which Marvel is a loverly run through the trees unfortunately it was closed this year but with a good dump of snow it should open quite quickly.
There is also plenty of blues going down to La Carroz but if you decide to head Flaine way then just be a tad wary of the ridge run which links Flaine Samoens and Morillon it is quite narrow with drops either side and can be busy and icy but it is fenced on either side and it really needs to be skied with short turns or a good old fashioned snow plough, there are also a couple of steep schusses where you will need to build up some speed to get up the other side.
I think the main thing is to get the family into ski school of which there is two ESF or Zigzag the other people in the chalet used the latter and they thought they were really good but my preference for Little W is the ESF.
If there is anything else I can help you with give me a shout :D
