France did it for me.
Sorry Ally.

Thanks for letting me know, that's really great news Freezywater, you lucky so and so :D
No wonder you're looking so smug. Oh well, I can still continue to day dream about my own ski resort, whilst I try and book a week in a tiny apartment in the 3 Valleys
Tony,
I don't like that fluorescent yellow/green colour much, but the red one looks fine.
Tino,
You are very lucky to have found such a generous OH.

Sorry for spoiling your thread, Stewart
This is my imaginary shopping list for the season ahead - an idyllic ski resort all my own.
What, no customers for my ski resort?
I will have alcahol and meat as well as the alternatives in my mountain restaurants. Most importantly I will always have very good snow, and my lifts will never be closed because of the wind etc. and the piste map will be totally accurate and all the pistes will be well marked and never overcrowded. During the day it will always be sunny and plenty of snow will fall overnight. Plus, it will be snowboard and child friendly. And, there will never be any avalanches so everyone can ski off-piste quite safely if they would like to.

Free lift poasses for your friends?

Sorry Dave, no free lift passes for my friends - I have a lot of friends
But it's a good point. I haven't finished working out my finances yet, but I'm hoping to sell beer at £2-50 per pint, tea and coffee at £1 per cup, soup and a roll for £4, ham, egg and chips for £5, and local lift passes for £120 for 6 days (there are 150 Km piste in my resort - a nice mix of green, blue, red and black runs).
And another thing, my resort is guaranteed to be injury free, so it will be a great place to practice those somersault things etc. in the snow park. Most particularly, there will be no toes broken on the mogul fields

I see its business as usual in here then.......
New jacket for me this season. My red one has seen better days, and I dont know whether to get another red one like this:
or to go for the smart green one I tried on recently like this:
I am ok for sallos and boots, but could well be needing some of these if my cheque comes through soon:

Proposed get up for the season...
I am getting this (172cm hopefully, hard to find) as an engagement present from the missus who was dismayed that I wanted to spend more than 40 quid on a ring  Thanks for the tip Trencher!!
For complete freeride support.
Sticking with last seasons bindings, cos they are so quick to get into. Only once have they opened unexpextedly, on the Hara Kiri of all places
Clotheswise I am taking the 2 soft shell approach this year rather than the padded and skirted insulated jacket route:
TNF Summit Series Apex Soft Shell (red)
over
Spyder Patsch Hoody Soft Shell (black)
with some TNF black pants, yet to be purchased.
Roll on October :)
