Ok so flying is very different from 20 years ago when it somehow felt a bit special to get on a plane but its far cheaper now as long as you accept that you get what you pay for.
I hate bad service as a rule but I love that fact that I can get to the snow for very little even if the journey is a pain in the ass.
If putting up with rude ryanair staff means that I can probably get another long weekend on the snow every year, then I'm all for it.

I understand where your comming from Gareth but that is still no way to run a customer orientated business, I'll be following with glee the demise of Ryan air

I like Gareths comment about how 20 years ago flying made you feel special. Thats absolutely right, because now flying is accessible to almost anyone and we take it for granted in terms of getting from A to B. I have even taken short flights to Scotland for business trips to avoid driving 5 hours, something I never envisaged myself doing. Funnily enough, when given the choice between Ryanair and Easyjet though, I have chosen the orange planes every time.

Im with Ian and Jon on this one I absolutly refuse to use them anymore and would rather pay double to fly with anybody else.

I can honestly say that nothing in my life causes me more stress than Trying to book a Ryan Air flight.

From the moment I go on the web site to the moment i return home i feel that they have gone out of their way to make the experience as unpleasant as possible.

The final straw came on a flight to Bratislava where they had cordoned off the departure area so that anybody who didnt have priority boarding about 150 people had to cue up between meter wide barriers that snaked back and forth to the entrance to the plane with no access to the seating. It was just like watching cattle at a market.

Meanwhile the 4 people with priority boarding had half a football pitch with seating for 300. The staff actually stood at the entrance selling priority boarding like raffel tickets. I completly understand the business model but its gone to far now and needs to stop.

Got to say never had any issues with them myself and if you read the following link the customer service may not quite be as derailed as some may think, free transfer onto alternative flights or an additional free flight if you need to go via another Ryanair 'hub' - granted it's another flight for them to cross-sell you things but 'acts of God' that thunderstorms are I would have thought they could easily have made you pay additional fares ...

I decided to have a life change and be more spontaneous. Starting tomorrow.

Ryanair have a sale on today, just for a few days. Flights for £1 including taxes, but not including the usual extras like luggage.

Just for Wickers :D
