Morzine/Les Gets has great snow and huge variety of options for lift passes. By staying in one of the villages just outside Morzine you will often find good deals and free transport(no walking!)See Vallee D'Aulps website for details. Good luck!

Hello,
If the Samoens chalet is cheaper I'd go there. You won't be disappointed with the skiing and the village is lovely.
The gondola is out of the village but there is a bus constantly running and you can catch it from a number of places in the village.
If you buy a 6 day lift pass for the Grand Massif you can have a day in the Portes du Soleil, though it was only on our 3rd trip there that we felt ready for a change.
We've been in April twice and have had great conditions.
The only time we've had bad snow was Feb HT 07 and most places did really.
It could be a bit slushy towards Samoens 1600, but this is to be expected in April.
Go, Enjoy!

I was in Morzine mid/late April 2008 ( just before the lifts shut down) and there was enough snow, just get the gondala up to the blues which link to Avioraz, no problems with any connecting there is enough area for anyone at any level to ski ( especially a short break) Some one earlier mentioned LGB I would second that great skiing even later on in the season low altitude but always seems to be reliable.
good hols!
