I'd go for Les carroz as Sixt has no up lift to the Grand massive only local nursery pistes, you will have to travel to
samoens for a connection, Sixt is a loverly place beautiful in the summer. )
What I mean is that in my opinion (which we are all entitled to by the way) there are fewer bottlenecks on the slopes of PDS, better infrastructure and the person seeking a holiday will get more people fighting for their business due to the hundreds of chalet companies based in Morzine (of which we are indeed one). This is a good thing for the customer because of basic rules of supply and demand. This is not to put down the Grand Massif in any way as I have had a lot of good days skiing there recently, merely offering advice and requesting the chance to quote for a holiday.

What about La clusaz or le Grand Bornard?? Both close to Geneva!

Morillon and Les Gets are your best bets if you want to minimise transfers from Geneva. Morillon links neatly into the Flaine and Les Carroz areas, but you have to accept that you'll probably be getting a cable car down. Les Gets is 15 minutes nearer to Geneva (about a 1.05 hr drive) than Morzine and a fair bit higher (1172m)- you can nearly always ski back to resort well into April as home runs are north facing. The linked Les Gets/Morzine area pass is great for a few days skiing and is cheap compared to P du S or Grand Massif. Good skiing for all abilities and decent night life.

Both the Grand Massif and PDS offer great skiing but in my humble opinion the links are far better in Morzine. At just over an hour from Geneva and with so many chalet companies fighting for your business it is a great choice for a short break. Please give us a try for a quote. Samoens in the GM is nice. We've done a few short breaks there.
9.40 arrival in Geneva, can be on the slopes by 12.30 if you're lucky.
We stayed in Les Terrasses, (sc apartment or chalet available) last time. It's a 5 mins walk to both the Gondola and village centre.
V successful.
Links are fine, people say slow, but as long as the queues aren't bad you can be over in Flaine in 45 mins or so.
I'm sure both Les Carroz and Morillon would be just as good.

Can anyone help? Sorry couldn't figure out how to dp my own posting so i'm jumping on this one as its related - sorry! We are think of satying at a friends of a friends flat in Samoen village in Easter. Can anyone tell me if A) Samoen village is close to the slopes and b) if it'll be god skiing early April. We could go somewhere else but this is cheaper!
