Tha addiction of the Pavel Quizz is settling in !!!!

A few more items before my eyes say no more for today;

Item # 19; Clip for holding skiing sunglasses on your car sun visor - silver in color --- located on the Rossignol front ski half on the Mont Sainte-Saveur poster and just covering part of the "L"

Item # 20; A second larger Sunday River decal - located on the Mont Sainte-Sauveur poster behind the tip of the Fischer Rx9 ski.

Item # 21; The Fischer RX9 ski with the Tyrola binding located in front of the Mont Sainte-Sauveur poster

Item # 22; Rossignol red circular decal on the poster behind the Fischer ski and just lower than the front binding.

Item # 23; Ski race timing device (aka:stop watch) located in suspension from a front binding section so that it is located below and to the right of the TAOS decal mentioned earlier.

Item # 24; ski boot under repair/modification - more detail need here I guess... but it is located in front of the file cabinet and beneath the Toko way bag/cloth which is stapled to the back wall on the left side just above the 3/4" plywood work surface.

Item # 25; The Toko wax pouch mentioned above

Item # 26; The plywood ski work bench/surface mentioned above

Item # 27; second Rossignol red circular decal -- located right og the first one at about center picture and about 6 inches from the bottom boundry of the photo.

Item # 28; a third Rossignol red circular decal -- located left of the Dynastar ski about 5/8 of picture width from the left and sjhowing just above the white styrofoam sheet behind the heater.

More later ....

Ohhh --- the addiction .....

Just a couple more...

Item # 29; The silver plumb bob (for determining cant requirements) suspended from the tip of the black Head ski located about 9/16 of picture width from the left.

Item #30; The pair of Salomon 9000 skis - black with blue and white graphics - located at the almost far right edge of the photo.

Item # 31; Pavel's wife's ski of years past - the white ELAN ski with green and blue graphics -- located to the left of the Salomon 9000 on the right edge of the photo with the red (possibly Atomic) ski pole suspended from it's tip....

I'm anxious to learn what all the bindings may be. There are some dandies in Pavel's Museum!!

Mike

Mike,

Your "engineering" eye impresses me. I expected Jan to be the only one to get those Elan skis in the right bottom corner.

Then to get ski carrier really, really impressed me since it is an object out of context and form another view plane!

To get plumb line again was far far above average perceptual range!!!!

You are good! 70 items are there!!!!!

Now the serious items have to be found!!!!

I have no idea what computer you have Jan, but the resolution level must be amazing!

Yes those bindings are set at 9!!!!
Yes there were considered, "exploding" bindings in their time!

Now about those Salomon's why were they "special" and now really impress me and tell me what bindings were on them by looking at the holes!

I promised not hints but......think gestalt!!!!!

Jan,

Of course I will provide feedback on "errors" if any.

All I can say how impressed I am by all your responses. You all are amazing!

I did not expect Mike, with all his computer problems to get some many answers. Did you buy a huge 3o" HD screen to go with your super super fast computer!

I expected answers in about a week! You really are great observers! Now comes the collaboration since the "hard" items are to be found!

Have you all read "Alice in Wonderland" ? Great novel! oppssss!!!!

Rossfra8,

Another who impresses me! You are so correct about the origins! Did you know that the very first "skis" made by Fischer were for his children from "leftover barrel sections ( I think in English called "staves")

No bindings just leather straps passed through an horizontal slot near heel area and another in the toe area!

Just to go to school!

Other children then wanted some since most skis were very long and not adapted to children! The birth not only of a ski company but also of the "mini" ski which took until 2004 to catch on!

A man truly ahead of his time! A simple need, a simple solution!

See?!! see...?!!!! You too are addicted to the Pavel Quiz, Pavel ... you want to give the hints just as we look for them !!! I see two hints this morning :!:

The new computer works well but not as well as Jan's! Wow --- how could he see that DIN setting ??? Is this the binding half which is right beneath the word "Dynastar" and the black "S" on the binding is in a horizontal line with the first "E" of MEGADRIVE? Wish I could have that type of resolution! Or was this by chance a good guess? I thought that kind of resolution only existed on the CSI television program.

Jan, turn that resolution to the decal (slightly covered by the elastic band) on the ski carrier . The same decal is on the left edge of the Sainte-Saveur poster. I can't make it out but it looks like "Sannich". With your resolution it will be known to all!!

Isn't this a fun quiz!

Mike :D

The Salomon S9000 (and I'm assuming the 9000) were the first ski's made by Salomon and the first of the monocoque design.

Am I right in thinking the bindings originally attached to those skis may have immigrated to Dorset?
