I see where you are coming from but I think this is one of those situations where we will discuss but part ways with our differing opinions. Anybody who reads this post should understand that I am talking from my personaly experience I am in no way an expert on skis so please don't form any opinions based on what I say lol. But, Having tried the Stockli Stormrider XLs last season myslelf in ST Anton I must say fantastic SKis but didn't feel, fly or flex any differently to my Volkl P50s, I say any different of course they were better but the felt very similar and my P50s are old. But Hell of ski and it seems the faster you go the better they feel. Quality wise you can't fault stockli...nothing more to be said there they are Swiss Handmade skis. But I wanted something Different to my P50s, something that Ithought would challenge me, that is why I went for the DPs and I may be wrong but I believe that Fat boys are the way to go if you are going off piste and yes I know that you should be able to ski all terrains with the same ski and I intend to do so with my DPs, but i feel that I will find it a damn site easier on the fat DPs off piste than I will with my long skinny Volkls, I don't want to make do, I want to fly. That's my personal feeling, I think for my personal needs the DPs are the best I could have bought.
