POC makes awesome goggles that are good for low-light and overcast conditions.

Either a clear lens or persimmon(orange) tint is the best for flat light. I've got a reflective lens this year which is near to useless in flat light conditions. But agree that its worth spending a bit of money on goggles as they can make a huge difference, had a few different brands over the years and my choices are ranked below:

1. Bolle
2. Oakley
3. Smith
4. Uvex

What brands does everyone else prefer?

Ive got a pair of Bolle Variables that work in pretty much all conditions.

Years ago (when I was a sunglasses only kind of guy, sans H-word) in Andorra we got caught in really bad visibility with falling snow/fog etc so I have a pair of Cebe's that were only about £20 with VERY yellow lenses that are naff all use unless it's that bad but, having been caught out once, I always carry them just in case!
