As well as a letter confirming you can take her out of the country, it may be advisable to have some sort of signed authority in case (God forbid) of acccidents/hospital treatment/surgery/having to bring her back to UK with only yourself/wife as her guardian. I think this is one of those situations where you need to have an evening with the other parents and go through all the possible scenarios.

I think it would be great for your daughter if this works out and I don't mean to be over-negative about it, but you need to put yourself in the place of the other parents and think about what you would want for your own child.

Right, sensible hat off now!

New topic

My contract on my phone is up for renewal. Dont know what mobile to get. I have currently got an HTC Desire HD, nice phone but a bit big. I dont want an iPhone.

Has anyone got the Galaxy SIII - is it another big phone?

Anything else out there?

I have just got a HTC One X to replace my HTC Desire. Yes it is a big phone, but it weighs less than the desire.

And boy is it a great device :-) Massively fast, great shots on the camera so far and some nice features compared to the Desire. I am very pleased I got it.

Interesting that Fq, had not really looked at it as there is not much noise being made about it - all seems to be Apple or galaxy.

Is it smaller than the Desire HD? How do you find the battery life for normal usage? I think they are quad band enabled?
