yep I certainly agree
Barney, where was this shot?
I think the behind the head shots was either just too close or you had it set on the wrong resolution. I think only the 720p setting gives a really vide perspective.
Tony, i will buy you a lid to stick it on.
Hmmmmmmmm
Yes, but. That is 5 minutes. I cant imagine taking a week load of footage and watching it back. It is the equivalent of me looking at a couple of your pics and saying, "wow, great conditions". Then after that not really interested as it is you on teh snow...
UNLESS: You are the chap in the Red Bull videos that are always on in the bar when having a beer. I can watch that all week :D
I actually bought the camera primarily for holidaying with our children and friends. There's a group of 7 of us heading off to Norway next month. Hopefully I get some good footage of them all. I agree that watching other people's videos and photos has a limited appeal. Given some spare time, I was intending to edit the footage from the week down to about 20mins. It goes onto a dvd and then I'd consider it to be equivalent of holiday shots from a beach holiday, something you look at every now and then.
It's no different to owning and using a conventional camera.

I'm waiting for Ellistine to upload his pole/head/chest/hand/nose/drink/inappropriate cam videos from St Anton. What I've seen so far has made my mind up to get one for next season.

Sorry to say it guys. But for me this thread is 10 reasons not to buy a GoPro
I think it is the same as forcing your holiday pics on others, generally only yourself is interested in it. That video probably means a lot to you Barney, but I cant say it wants me to buy one
Surprised at you tony

So I borrowed a go-pro to try out. I was using a 5 foot collapsible hiking pole. I was surprised at how much it affects your balance, but I think if you are doing the self video thing, it's about the right length.
because I'm so inclined .....
