Hi, welcome to J2ski. Have a look at the ski club snow history on here http://www.skiclub.co.uk/skiclub/snowreports/historical/default.aspx there's no guarantee but this will tell you what has been happening for the last few seasons.

Hope that helps!

Hi Simon,
I don't think anyone knows the answer to that one.

We are all hoping that there will be plenty of snow in the various resorts we are heading for. If you want to pick a more snow-sure resort have a look at some snow histories, or go very high, or pick a resort with a glacier. It is very much a case of pot luck with ski-ing, but generally you have to pay more to go to a snow-sure resort.

Thanks, Do you know any examples of high resorts in europe? see we have a 2 year old so long fights are a big no at the mo.

I have been to 3 high snow-sure resorts, all of which were great:

Obergurgl in Austria
Tignes in France
Val Thorens in France

There are plenty more in Europe. What level skiers are you? And are you looking for short transfers and child care on account of your 2 year old?

High resorts do have their own problems though - like no trees, windy and cold, fog, and the gondolas are prone to shutting when it gets very windy.

intermediate. we will be taking somebody with us to look after our lad. 3-4 hour transfers will be fine and 1-2 hour flight should be ok. we have friends that go canada but the flight will be far too long while he is young. the accom need to be child friendly ish, have you been to andorra? if so what you think?

I haven't been to Andorra myself, but other people here have (they've probably gone to bed now).

Talking about the weather - it's incredibly windy here at the moment, and we've had very heavy rain today. One of our friends tried to drive through a bit of flooded road and got water in the car and the car cut out and they had to be rescued. We have holidaymakers coming here tomorrow so I hope the weather improves.

Night, night,

I don't have much advice to offer other than I wouldn't go back to Andorra but my needs are probably a little different to yours (stayed in Soldeu).
