Simon
We stayed in the Sporthotel in Soldeu Andorra many years ago & really enjoyed it, as I remember the skiing was well suited to early intermediates & the snow conditions were excellent in January. I believe there has been a lot of development going on linking up neighbouring ski stations. All round good choice I would say, plenty to do for non skiers spa facilities, shopping etc... It is a place that is on my list to go back to in the near future.

I also stayed at the Sport Hotel in Soldeu, good food, good service, good accommodation in fact I stayed there once in the summer and got a bargain of 37€ per night for half board that was for both of us
excellent.
As for snow we need a prolonged cold spell to bed down the new snow to form a base,I can't remember too many bad snow years.

We did Arinsal in February. Stayed at the Princessa Parc. Great hotel, food and staff.

The snow was the best they'd seen in decades. We even got "snowed in". Depends on your ski level but there was load for us intermediates.

Although the transfer is a killer.

Michael Fish has said that he expects a warm front over the pair of knees this weekend.
so it will probably stay
