Hi there
although I wanted to go back to Soll where I have been twice before, due to leaving it a day too late I was unable to get a similar price to what I had been looking at... so in the end settled for Niederau, it's nearby and was very cheap.
Can anyone tell me what it's like? From what I've read it's not as good as the Soll\SkiWelt area, and a bit lower too.
As a relatively experienced boarder do you think it's worth my while bothering with the Niederau area or would I be better bussing it to my familiar Soll? (and if so any idea of bus prices and where I can find times etc)
I found out from the local tourist place that I can get a pass for the whole of SkiWelt and Niederau area, but that is about 50 euro more than just Niederau (or could go just to SkiWelt area for about 30 euro more).
Any suggestions from goers to both places would be great :)

Wow
Posters here are suggesting that Niederau is not the Utopia many on J2ski would testify to. :?: :!:
Never been myself, but as about 50% of all posts { a slight exaggeration  } on J2ski revolve around the qualities of Neiderau I'm surprised that non of it's many patrons have not posted replies extolling it's virtues.
I'm sure there will soon be a flood of praise for Neiderau, and your mind will be put at rest.

Niederau is a nice friendly place to stay and is fantastic for begineers/improvers/those looking to gain more confidence. For a relatively experienced boarder I think you may soon get bored with the slopes, but if you're staying there you may as well do the reds and blacks in Niederau (and over in Auffach which is on the same lift pass) before looking to bus elsewhere.
You could buy a lift pass for say 3 days to see all the local area before venturing further affield.
All the time I was in Niederau I only saw buses going to Auffach and Oberau, so not sure how easily you'd get to Soll really.
