Hello, me and my boyfriend are travelling europe and are planning to do a ski season in Autria or Switzerland starting late november, we have both never skied or snowborded before but are very exited and keen to learn, we are early twenties so lookink for a place that has good nightlife aswell as the possibility of employment. i have tried to do some reserch as to where the best resort is but there are so many!! please can somebody help me and give me some advise from there own experiances please.

Can't give you any advice other than check out natives website. Lists loads of employment possibilities all over the place, some for couples including accom and lift passes, lessons etc.

If it's Switzerland that you decide upon, then you will find it easier to be employed by a UK company because they will take care of Residence Permits and work Permit requirements.

Find the job, don't worry about resort or country.
You do need to think about your legality and rights of work which is where a UK based company could be helpful.
The only other way I am aware off is if you can fund accomodation etc. yourselves and then try to pick up casual "black" work as you go along.
What skills have you?
Languages? German, Italian, French? This may point you towards a country.
Seasonal work in ski resorts is very competitive and most young Brits going out will have sorted out work already (probably !!)

Unless you are looking for chalet jobs then you should first find yourself a bigger resort, sort yourself accommodation there and start looking for work. Chamonix could be an option as it's quite big, so it's easier to find accommodation, plus many bars where you may find employment. Some chalet jobs will keep you busy for most mornings/early afternoons so getting lot of ski time can be problematic. So look for something that will leave your mornings free.

Assuming you can work in Europe, I would go through the tour operators, they are recruiting around this time of year, the pay isn't anything to shout about but you do get a lift pass/accomodation/insurance/food for the season, no-one does a ski season to earn money that's for sure!
As has been mentioned the Natives website is great (never around when I was doing seasons, I had to do my own leg work). Good luck!

thankyou so much for your comments, we decided not to go through a company such a snatives because we diddnt want to be tied down to a contry or date, we are driving down from england so just hoping to get to Austria at the end of november, so yes will be doing all my own leg work in tring to find accom and employment, i have been tring to do some resurch on the biggest/best most accomadating to our needs resorts? if anyone else has any more advise that have done or doing a similar thing please help.
