does anyone have any recommendations on skiing in the pyrenees; I realise it is the poor relation to the alps; but as I live in Toulouse it zill be my nearest drive. total beginner so am excited to discover the areas.

Its quite good for beginners in Arinsal in Andorra ..lots of English speaking instructors and not too busy and its only about 3hrs for you ..I think they do a beginners package ..or so one of the instructors was saying this afternoon..The snow nsnt bad at the moment and they do forecast a bit more tonight

I have skied Spain and Andorra over the years and I have found all three visits very enjoyable, I don't consider it to be the poor relation to the alps I have always found the snow good, out of the two places my preference would be for La Molina in Spain.
The reason I stopped visiting is I started driving to my ski destination, and my preference was for the alps as I could get there quicker, give the Pyrenees a go it is worth a visit.
