i have been there several times - stayed in the madeline and crystal sportiv. you will love the area and the pretty village and the nieder hut is an absolute must when the live music is on from about 4 in the afternoon but make sure you either dont have skis with you or you are still able to ski back at night safely. the run is floodlit or maybe even get a lift back down to the village on the owners skido. majority of people are dancing on the tables in ski boots or hanging from the roof beams- honest!!
if you want any info on the area let me know.

We have just got back from Obergurgl and had a wonderful time. Stayed in Hochgurgl last year, but preferred Obergurgl this time as so much more to do in the evening. As we were B & B it gave us a chance to sample quite a few bars and restaurants and none of them disappointed!
I confess to dancing in ski boots on a chair in the Nederhutte(couldn't get on the table as it was under the eaves) and singing along to all the usual stuff. We skied back down but left before the music stopped to avoid the alcoholically challenged skiers! All the mountain restaurants were friendly and good value.
